We have been contacted by a number of Ben Harper fans asking us about Hawaiian or Weissenborn Steel guitars. Ben Harper currently owns three Dart Steel Guitars. Harper played a Dart Hawaiian Steel Guitar on Glory and Consequences on the CD, The Will to Live.

Ben Harper

Guitar Collector's Magazine Fall, 2003- "Made in the traditional Hawaiian style of the 1930's, the sides continue up to the head stock making the neck hollow. My guitars were inspired by Weissenborn, Kona and Knudsen style guitars, but are not copies... There were numerous brands of Hawaiian Slide Guitars in the 1930's and Weissenborn was only one of them, not the only one.” David Dart
